Everyone gets the free Horizonbound Pass from the get-go, but those looking to push beyond their limits can upgrade to the premium Horizonbound Pass+ for a bunch of extra content! Can't decide right away? Don't sweat it! All your progress will be recorded no matter what you choose to do.

Take a look at the Pass+ Content section below to see some of the things you can unlock with the premium pass, or dive into our Horizonbound Pass FAQ for more info on how the passes work!

Origins and Classes

This mid-set, our horizons are only expanding—which is why we're only adding new traits and origins instead of removing them!

New Traits

All new Runeterran regions await as you fly towards the horizon. And don't worry—with Bilgewater on the docket, you don't have to worry about scurvy on your epic journey!

Bilgewater

Bilgerat attacks and Abilities mark enemies. The mark stores a percentage of damage dealt to the enemy by Bilgerats.

Marked enemies are struck by a cannonball after 2 seconds, dealing the stored damage plus a flat value as physical damage.

(3) 200 + 25% damage dealt
(5) 300 + 45% damage dealt
(7) 450 + 90% damage dealt
(9) 650 + 110% damage dealt - nearby enemies take 50% cannonball damage

Speaking of pirates, you can hardly have a pirate party without the Reaver King himself, Gangplank!

Reaver King Gangplank uses his cutlass when placed in the front 2 rows and his pistol when placed in the back 2 rows.

Whoa… Is that the lost lands of Ixtal?! You must be really off the grid, even if you're still in your—*ahem*—element.

Ixtal Gain elemental hexes, which give a different bonus from game to game.

Finally, you'll make short work of your enemies with ramped up critical chance/damage courtesy of Vanquisher.

Vanquisher

Damage from Vanquisher Abilities can critically strike. Vanquishers gain bonus Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage.

(2) 15% , 10%
(4) 35% , 25%

Ranked Reset

Since mid-sets like Horizonbound preserve most of the mechanics and champions of the previous set, ranks will only be getting a soft reset. For the vast majority of you, that means dropping one full tier from your previous rank. Gold II will become Silver II, Diamond IV changes to Platinum IV, etc..

If you're one of the tactical titans who managed to hit Master and above, your rank will be reset to Diamond IV to give us mere mortals a chance to catch up!

Ranked Rewards

Whew! Reforging Runeterra certainly took a lot of work. That's why Ranked players will be well-rewarded based on how far they climbed. And don't worry if you aren't rewarded right away—your Runeterra Reforged ranked rewards will be distributed throughout the Horizonbound mid-set.

Now without further ado, let's take a look at what you'll get!

Standard

Placed Gold or higher in Runeterra reforged? That is an achievement worthy of a Golden Spatula coronation from Prestige DRX Aatrox himself!
