When does the ME server open?
The ME server is set to open its digital doors on June 25, 2024 at around 8:30pm PT / June 26 at around 6am EEST, and TFT mobile's ME server will follow on August 14, 2024 at 4am PT / 2pm EEST. However! An undertaking as massive as this can hit unexpected speed bumps, so we ask for your patience and understanding if the start time ends up being a little later.
Should I transfer to the ME server?
Since this is the Middle East shard, the regions that can expect the biggest improvements in ping by transferring are:
- UAE
- Qatar
- Bahrain
- Saudi Arabia
- Oman
- Kuwait
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- Egypt
- Iraq
- Iran
- Pakistan
If you are from these regions and/or are shown an in-client popup when you log into League of Legends, then you will likely see improved latency by switching over to the ME server.
North Africa = EU Servers
If you live in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, or Libya, you'll still get the best ping on EU servers. No transfer needed!
ME Transfers Are Initially One-Way
In order to give the new community time to stabilize, we're only accepting players into the ME server at first. Transfers out of ME are scheduled to become available around September 3, 2024 at 11am PT / 9pm EEST, but note that this date/time may change depending on the state of the servers.
Transferring to the ME Server
If you're thinking of switching over to the ME server, you probably have a few questions. Like…
Who can transfer?
Transfers are available to accounts on the following servers: EUN1, EUW1, JP1, LA1, LA2, NA1, OC1, PH2, RU, SG2, TH2, and TR1.
The only accounts that won't be able to transfer are those already associated with servers in Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Brazil. If you live in one of these regions but would like to join the ME server, please consider making a new ME account instead.
How much does a transfer cost?
Qualified accounts can transfer to the ME server for 1 Blue Essence from the moment the server opens until September 3, 2024 at 11am PT / 9pm EEST. After that, the price will increase to the usual 2600 RP for a one-way transfer, in or out of the server.
Does my whole account transfer over?
While the majority of your account's content does transfer over (collection, currencies, friend list, Mission/Event Pass progress, and more), there are a few things that don't (honor level and Clash regalia, to name a few). The best way to be sure is to check our Account Transfer FAQ, but here are a few of the more notable things that WILL TRANSFER to the ME server with you:
League of Legends
- Rank and LP (Capped at Master, no need to redo placements)
- ME’s initial League Grandmaster/Challenger count for Ranked Split 2, 2024 will start with a relatively humble number that may be adjusted to match the server population as it grows. If you're GM/Challenger, your Leaderboard position may change as these adjustments are made. The Leaderboard updates every 24 hours.
- Full apex tier decay bank (maxed out regardless of banked decay games before transfer)
Teamfight Tactics
- Rank and LP (Capped at Master)
- Like League above, ME’s initial TFT GM/Challenger count will start at a relatively humble number and adjust based on server population. The Leaderboards will also adjust based on the server population as listed above.
- Full apex tier decay bank (maxed out regardless of banked decay games before transfer)
So how do I actually transfer to the ME server?
Once you're ready to go, a transfer is only a few clicks away:
- Install the League of Legends Client (TFT Mobile Players: This is where TFT lives on PC!)
- Log into the League of Legends Client with the account you want to transfer. Make sure it's the right account since the transfer is initially one-way!
- Go to the Store
- Select Account
- Find Transfer to Middle East in the presented options (it should be the only one that costs just 1 Blue Essence)
- Follow the resulting prompts until the transfer is complete

We know some of you have been waiting for over a decade to play on your very own server, and we want to give you a proper welcome with an ME server-exclusive welcome mission.
TFT Missions
We're creating two TFT missions to make sure you and your Tacticians start on the right foot.
The first mission, A New Journey, will be available on your current server:

The Blue Essence you get from this mission is exactly what you need to transfer to the ME server, so consider this a chance for one final farewell battle before you move on to greener (and faster) pastures. The A New Journey mission will be available until September 2, 2024 at 23:59pm PT.
The second mission, Welcome!, will be waiting for you once you arrive on the ME server:

With the server opening in the middle of a new TFT Chapter, this reward should give you a good shot at completing the battle pass even with a late start. Just don't make that start too late, as the Welcome! mission will say goodbye on July 29, 2024 at 23:59pm PT.
TFT Mobile Transfer Welcome Mission
TFT's mobile Middle East server goes online on August 14, 2024 at 4:00am PT, so we want to thank patient mobile players with a special Back to School mission to power through their pass:

Welcome Mission
Playing at high ping and making the transfer were the hard parts. Now that you're here, we want to make this mission super simple:

All Champions Unlocked During Welcome Event
It's a party, and everybody is invited—including all 160+ champions.
All champions are unlocked for all players on the ME Server from the moment the server goes live until September 3, 2024 at 11:00am PT / 9:00pm EEST. Once that date hits, your roster will be restored to only include your owned champions plus the free rotation.
What about TFT Mobile?
It's going to take a little extra work to get TFT mobile ready for its ME server debut, but we're aiming to push it live with Patch 14.16 on August 14, 2024. Check above under TFT Missions for the special mission we're adding to help Middle East players catch up fast!
