Magic N' Mayhem Tome 1 Passes
Everyone gets the free Magic N' Mayhem Tome 1 Pass automatically on day one of the new set, and you can upgrade to the premium Magic N' Mayhem Tome 1 Pass+ for 1295 RP to unlock your earned premium content whenever you want.
Take a look at the Pass+ Content section below to see some of the things you can unlock with the premium pass, or gather intel for your super squad with our Magic N' Mayhem Pass FAQ to learn how the passes work.
A Charming Development
Our new set mechanic for Magic n’ Mayhem is Charms. Charms are single-use purchasable spells of sorts that appear in every other shop, replacing a champion slot. They only appear during PvP rounds, making PvE rounds the ideal time to roll down for specific champions.
You can buy one Charm per round, but you can always roll deep for the perfect Charm to win a clutch match. Charms generally increase in power/cost as the game progresses, providing for some truly tumultuous thaumaturgy in the late game.
Stat Check
Magic N' Mayhem also sets the stage for the premiere of three new stats:
- Omnivamp - Heal for a percentage of damage done
- Damage Amplification - Increase dealt damage
- Durability - Reduce incoming damage
Many of these stats are tied in with new trait effects, so be sure to experiment!
Magic N' Mayhem Traits
A dash of sugar, a splash of honey, a healthy dollop of elemental essence, and so much more. Magic N' Mayhem's champions are a recipe for some truly fantastical battles.
Magic N' Mayhem Classes
Class | Bonus |
---|---|
Ascendant | Ascendant Charms can appear in your shop. The odds increase by 10% after each player combat, up to 50%. When you buy one, the odds reset. |
Bastion | Your team gains armor and magic resist. Bastion units gain more, and the values are doubled in the first 10 seconds of combat. |
Bat Queen | When Morgana's bats kill an enemy, they have a 45% chance to abduct a 1-Star copy of it. |
Best Friends | Norra summons Yuumi to help your team. She can be attached to allies by holding her down over them. Yuumi shares her ability power with Norra, and dies when Norra does. |
Blaster | Blasters gain damage amp, which increases for 3 seconds after casting their Ability. |
Hunter | Hunters gain attack damage, increased the first time they get a takedown each combat. |
Incantor | Your team gains 10 ability power. When Incantors attack or cast, all Incantors gain stacks of ability power, up to 40. Every other attack grants 1 stack, and each Ability grants 3 stacks. |
Mage | Mages cast their Ability twice, and have modified total ability power. |
Multistriker | Multistriker's attacks have a chance to trigger 2 extra attacks. |
Preserver | Your team heals for a percent of their max health every 3 seconds. If they are at full health, they restore mana instead. |
Scholar | Scholars gain bonus mana on attack. |
Shapeshifter | Shapeshifters gain max health. After their first Ability cast, they triple this effect. |
Vanguard | Vanguards gain 10% durability while shielded. At the combat start, and when they reach 50% health, they gain a Shield for a percentage of their max health for 10 seconds. |
Warrior | Warriors gain Omnivamp and damage amp. When Warriors drop below 40% health, they gain double damage amp. |
Magic N' Mayhem Origins
Origin | Bonus |
---|---|
Arcana | Use the Arcana signifier item to choose a High Arcana champion. Each Arcana grants power, based on a different condition. |
Chrono | Chrono units gain 15 Ability Power. At the start of the Combat Phase, begin a 16-second countdown, reduced by 1 second for each Chrono ability cast. At the end of the countdown, gain a special effect: |
Dragon | Dragon attacks and abilities apply a 1% Burn and Wound to enemies for 5 seconds. |
Druid | Does not have a Trait bonus, but has a powerful ability, and increased stats. |
Eldritch | When your team loses 20% of their Health, an Old God awakens. It gains 25% Health, and 10% Ability Power for each Eldritch Star level |
Faerie | Faeries gain Health, and create special items that become stronger with Trait tiers. Only Faeries can hold Faerie items. |
Frost | Frost champions gain Ability Power and Attack Damage. The first few enemies to die become allied Ice Soldiers, which lure enemy attacks if they are within targeting range. |
Honeymancy | Honeymancers gain Bees that deal magic damage to their target every 3 seconds. Each Bee does 8% of the Honeymancer's damage dealt, and 2.5% of their damage taken. When a Honeymancer dies, it leaves one Bee that follows nearby Honeymancers for the rest of the combat. |
Portal | Combat start: Portal champions gain a Shield for 15 seconds. Objects from other dimensions fly out to a portal every few seconds to help allies, and disrupt enemies. The portal becomes 8% stronger, for each Portal champion Star level. |
Pyro | Your team gains 3% attack speed. Pyro champions gain more attack speed, and execute enemies under 12% health. |
Ravenous | Briar gains 0.6% damage amp for each Health you are missing. Each round, gain a Light Snack to give her 150 health, in exchange for 3 of your Player Health. |
Sugarcraft | Sugarcrafters build a layer of cake from Sugar. Gain Sugar for each component your team is holding after combat. They also gain attack damage, and ability power, increased by 10% for each cake layer. When the cake has 7 layers, gain treats instead. |
Witchcraft | Witch Abilities apply a curse to enemies for 4 seconds. When a cursed enemy dies, the curse spreads to the nearest enemy. |
Ranked Info
A new Ranked season has begun, giving even the lowliest apprentice a chance at wielding the powers of a mighty arch mage.
Ranked Reset
The time has finally come for our hard-won ranks to drop down, all so we can hard-win them all over again! Why, you ask? Well, we know that for a lot of you, climbing that ladder is the most exciting part of the game. We want to give everyone a fresh ranked experience with each new set, and a hard reset will allow for just that!
So, what does that mean for your rank from Inkborn Fables?
Standard and Double Up
Those who climbed highest will start at Silver IV. Other ranks will get a little starting bump, though nobody will start lower than Iron II.
Hyper Roll
So what about Hyper Roll? This one’s easy: Everyone, regardless of placement in the last set, is starting at Gray Tier (500).
Provisional Games
After the set kicks off, everybody who plays ranked will start with five provisional placement games. During those games, you won’t lose any LP for finishing in the bottom 4, and you’ll earn extra LP for placing in the top 4—or top 2 for Double Up.
Ranked Rewards
With Inkborn Fables fading once more into legend, you'll be able to claim any rewards you earned for the last set throughout the release of Magic N' Mayhem: Tome 1.
Gold+
Those who transcended myth to hit gold or higher can show other players what being truly legendary is all about with the Victorious Dowsie little legend.
Standard Ranked
Place Gold or higher in Remix Rumble: Act 2, and even Morgana will be… well, not impressed, exactly, but she'll help you show off your rank nonetheless!
Hyper Roll
Achieve Green, Blue, Purple, or Hyper tier, and you'll be styling it up with Duckbill:
Double Up!
Teamwork makes the dream work—especially if that dream is claiming ranked rewards in Double Up! Climb to gold or higher in Inkborn Fables: Chapter 2, and Pengu and Kobuko will brush your opponents away!
