Fates is coming to a close, and in its wake a new era emerges. It is a time to reflect. A time to grow. A time...to party! It's a celebration the likes of which the Convergence has never seen, and you're all invited. New champions have emerged and new friends are waiting, so grab some food and turn up the music. Fates II: Festival of Beasts is here. Wanna bring out your inner party prepper? Check out the /dev post over here!
The Festival kicks off on January 21st, 2021 at 11:00 AM (PT), and will be party rocking until April 27th, 2021 at 12:00 PM (PT). The start of a new set means the beginning of a new season, which means all the Little Legends, arena skins, and Fates II Pass shenanigans you've been dreaming of. Find your rhythm and channel your champions. It's time to delve deeper into Fates II: Festival of Beasts.
Fates II Pass
Convergence? We have a bop. Mid-set update means all-new pass! We don't wanna dive too deep into the Fates II Pass deets here, so be sure to check out the TFT: Fates II Pass FAQ. Spoilers, but there may be some Little Legends to unlock that are cute enough to eat.
Mechanics
Choose Your Chosen
The Chosen are choosing to join the party once more (no doubt lured back by Choncc's tasty cooking). Simply keep an eye out in the store for any champions rocking the symbol above. These Chosen champs will already be at a 2-star level (and their cost will reflect that). One of the unit's traits will be chosen as, well, Chosen, which means they will count for two of that particular trait! Keep in mind that the affected trait will be selected at random. They'll also gain extra HP and a unique stat bonus.
Lucky Lantern
Are you feeling lucky, pal? You should be! Coming with Festival of Beasts is a brand new item: the Lucky Lantern. At some point during the game, everyone will receive their very own Lucky Lantern. What everyone gets from the Lantern in a game will be the same, but what y'all will get is random! You could get items, Gold, or a clutch Neeko's Help, but there are also some new boons fate could bestow!
- Loaded Dice - Give this to a champion, and the shop will reroll for you, free of charge! If that wasn't enough, the champs in the store will now reflect matching traits to the champ you gave the Reroller to! Of course, if the item still has to follow the rules. Your rerolled shop won't change the percentage of seeing more or less of a high cost champ, and if the rotation pool is empty, you may just get random champions in the rerolled shop. Such is the whims of fate!
- Magnetic Remover - Accidentally put the wrong item on the wrong champ? We've all been there. Don't throw the whole Sett out with the boss water. Give your accessorized champ an Item Remover, and all the items will pop right off!
- Reforger - Give this boon to a champ, and not only will items pop off your champion, but it'll reroll one into a different item. Stuck with a Chain Vest when you really needed a Tear? Try your luck! You can also use this on full items, but best know the risks! No one wants a Ruinblade to turn into Blue Buff on the wrong champ. Also, Spatulas are simply too magical to bend to luck, so both they and their full items cannot be rerolled.
- Training Dummy - It's dangerous to go alone, so bring a...dummy? These helpful items can be placed just like a champion, and it has some HP to tank some damage for you. Don't worry! They won't count against how many units you're allowed in play. You also can't put it on the bench or sell it (nice try).
Origins and Classes
Origins and classes represent all that the Festival of Beasts has to offer. You'll notice some familiar favorites from the first Stage of Fates, but get ready to roll out the red carpet for some new traits.
Origins
Origin | Bonuses |
---|---|
Cultist |
Once your team loses 50% of their health, Galio is summoned, slamming into the largest cluster of enemies and knocking them up. |
Divine |
Upon attacking 6 times or dropping below half health, Divine units ascend, taking reduced damage and dealing bonus true damage for the rest of combat. |
Dragonsoul |
At the start of combat, the first Dragonsoul allies to take damage receive the Dragon’s Blessing. While blessed, the unit gains bonus stats, and every 5th attack fires a blast of Dragonflames, dealing a percent of their target’s maximum health in magic damage.
|
Enlightened | Enlightened champions generate more mana. |
Elderwood | Every 2 seconds, all Elderwood champions grow, gaining bonus stats. This effect can stack up to 5 times. |
Exile |
If an Exile has no adjacent allies at the start of combat, they gain a shield. Two Exiled units on the board grants Lifesteal. |
Fortune | Winning combat against a player will grant bonus orbs. The longer you've gone without an orb, the bigger the payout! |
Fabled | Fabled champion's spells gain an additional effect. |
Ninja | Ninja gain bonus Attack Damage and Spell Power. This effect is only active when you have exactly 1 or 4 unique Ninjas. |
Spirit | The first time a Spirit casts their spell, all allies gain Attack Speed. |
Warlord | Warlords have bonus Health and Spell Power. Each victorious combat they've participated in increases this bonus, stacking up to 5 times. |
The Boss | When The Boss first drops to 40% health, he removes himself from combat to start doing sit-ups. Each sit-up restores 15% Health and gives him 20% Attack Speed. If he reaches full health he returns to combat Pumped Up, converting his basic Attack and Spell damage to True Damage. If all of his allies die, he will immediately return to combat. |
Daredevil | Daredevils seek the thrill of battle, dashing after every other attack. After every dash, they shield themselves for a percentage of their max Health, and their next attack fires 2 shots, gaining Style. At max Style, they cast their spell. |
Classes
Class | Bonuses |
---|---|
Adept | Adepts calm the flow of battle, reducing the Attack Speed of all enemies for a few seconds at the start of combat. |
Assassin | Before combat starts, Assassins leap to the enemy backline. Assassins' spells can critically strike, and they gain bonus Critical Strike Chance and Damage. |
Brawler | Brawlers gain bonus Health and Attack Damage. |
Duelist | Duelists move faster, and their attacks grant Attack Speed, stacking up to 8 times. |
Executioner | Executioner attacks and spells always critically hit targets beneath a certain Health threshold. |
Keeper | At the start of combat, Keepers grant themselves, and all nearby allies, a shield for 8 seconds. This shield is 50% stronger on Keepers. |
Mage | Mages cast twice and have modified Spell Power. |
Mystic | All allies have increased Magic Resistance. |
Sharpshooter | Sharpshooters' attacks and spells ricochet to nearby enemies, dealing reduced damage. |
Slayer | Slayers gain Lifesteal that gets stronger as their own Health decreases, and deal bonus damage that scales up based on their target’s missing Health. |
Syphoner | All allies heal for some of the damage they deal with spells and attacks. |
Vanguard | Vanguard champions gain bonus Armor and Magic Resist. |
Emperor | Emperors deploy with two additional units that may be moved separately. These soldiers cast when their leader does, and they rapidly lose health when the Emperor dies. |
Blacksmith |
After each combat a Blacksmith participates in, they will make progress forging an Artifact. The higher their star-level, the faster they work. Once the Artifact is complete, it will become available to bestow upon an ally.
