Gizmos & Gadgets Pass II
As always, the best way to experience Set 6.5 is by leveling up your pass and earning rewards! Everyone gets the free Gizmos & Gadgets Pass II automatically on day one of the mid-set update, and you can upgrade to the premium Gizmos & Gadgets Pass II+ for even more cool stuff whenever you want.
Take a look at the Pass+ Content section below to see some of the things you can unlock with the premium pass, and check out our Gizmos & Gadgets Pass II FAQ for more info on how the passes work!
Hextech Augments
It was only a few months ago that Hextech Augments rewrote the rules, but we’re not done revolutionizing the game yet! With 6.5, we’re introducing so many new traits that even I can’t keep track of them. Luckily for both of us, the Augments, Augmented article goes over the highlights.
Origins and Classes
As you’re probably expecting at this point, a mid-set update means that some new traits will be joining the party, while others will be shown the door. So, let’s start by pouring one out for Academy, Imperial, Protector, and Sister. These traits and most of the champs who represent them are on their way out, but fear not! Some exciting new ones are coming in to replace them…
New Origins & Class
First we have two origins that focus on the future: Hextech champs are all about making big leaps in the field of magical machinery, while those under the Debonair banner focus on being fashion-forward.
Debonair |
Debonair champions gain bonus Health and Ability Power, and you have a higher chance to see Debonair VIPs in your Shop. If there is a Debonair VIP in play, they activate their unique bonus. Sell the old VIP for a chance to see a new one in your Shop. |
Hextech |
At the start of combat and every few seconds afterwards, the Hexcore sends out a pulse that charges up allied Hextech champions with a temporary shield. While the shield is active, attacks deal bonus magic damage on hit. This shield does not stack. |
Next we have an exclusive origin for TFT’s first exclusive champ! As TFT’s solo Mastermind, Silco feels at home toward the back, pulling other champs’ strings and hoping to avoid any direct confrontation.
Mastermind |
At the start of combat, the Mastermind grants the allies directly in front of him some of their maximum Mana. |
And then there’s the Rival origin, which is coming in to replace Sister. Jinx and Vi aren’t exactly the best of friends these days, so getting them to work together is simply out of the question. The good news is that they each still pack one heck of a punch on their own.
Rival |
This trait is active when you have exactly 1 unique Rival unit, as Rivals refuse to work together. |
Finally, let’s talk about the single new class. Strikers only care about one thing, and that’s hitting stuff—HARD. The more Strikers you have, the harder they hit! It’s as simple as that.
Striker | Strikers gain bonus Attack Damage. |
Returning Traits
Need a refresher course on the traits returning from set 6.0? No sweat! Open the menus below to get reacquainted with some old favorites
Chemtech |
After dropping below a certain Health threshold, Chemtech champions become chem-powered, gaining Attack Speed, damage reduction, and regenerating a percentage of their maximum Health each second for several seconds. |
Clockwork |
Your team has increased Attack Speed, with an additional increase per augment in the Hexcore. |
Enforcer |
Enforcers stun enemies at the start of combat. The target breaks free after a few seconds, or after losing a certain amount of their maximum Health. Enforcers will not try to stun enemies who are immune to crowd control effects. |
Glutton |
An ally from the bench can be fed to Tahm Kench once per planning phase, permanently granting him either Ability Power, Health, Armor, or Magic Resist. |
Mercenary |
Gain a treasure chest that opens when you win combat against a player. At the start of each planning phase vs a player, dice rolls add loot to the chest. The longer you've gone without opening the chest, the luckier the dice. |
Mutant |
At 3 and 5, and 7, Mutants gain a different Trait bonus from game to game. Possible mutations:
|
Scrap |
At the start of combat, components held by Scrap champions turn into full items for the rest of combat. Also, your team gains a shield for each component equipped by your team, including those that are part of a full item. |
Socialite |
Socialites reveal a spotlight on the battlefield. The unit standing in the spotlight at the start of combat gains unique bonuses. |
Syndicate |
Certain allies are cloaked in shadows, gaining Armor, Magic Resist, and Omnivamp (healing for a percentage of all damage dealt). |
Yordle |
(3) After each player combat, a random Yordle is added to your bench for free. |
Arcanist |
Arcanists increase the Ability Power of your team. |
Assassin |
Innate: When combat starts, Assassins leap to the enemy backline. Assassins' Abilities can critically strike and they gain bonus Critical Strike Chance and bonus Critical Strike Damage. |
Bodyguard |
Bodyguards have increased Armor. Shortly after combat begins, Bodyguards gain a shield and taunt adjacent enemies, forcing them to attack the Bodyguard. |
Bruiser |
Your team gains bonus maximum Health. Bruisers gain double the bonus. |
Challenger |
Challengers get bonus Attack Speed. Upon scoring a takedown, Challengers dash to a new target and double this bonus for a few seconds. |
Colossus |
Innate: Colossi are bigger, more powerful. They gain bonus Health and immunity to crowd control effects. However, each Colossus requires 2 team slots. |
Enchanter |
Your team has bonus Magic Resist. Enchanters gain bonus healing and shielding. |
Innovator |
Innovators build a mechanical companion to join the battle. The companion receives bonus Health and Attack Damage based on allied Innovators' star levels. |
Scholar |
Your team gains Mana every a few seconds. |
Sniper |
Innate: Snipers gain 1 hex Attack Range. |
Transformer |
Jayce adopts melee form when placed in the front 2 rows, and ranged form in the back 2 rows. |
Twinshot |
Twinshots gain bonus Attack Damage. When a Twinshot attacks, they have a chance to attack twice instead. |
Ranked Reset
We've hit the mid-set, so it’s time to SHAKE THINGS UP with a soft reset!
Standard
No matter how high they climbed in 6.0, all players will be dropped by one full tier when 6.5 starts. That means some will drop all the way back down to Iron II, while others will start as high as Diamond IV.
Hyper Roll
All players in Blue and above will be reset to the bottom of Blue (2,600). For those in Gray or Green, ranks will remain unchanged.
Missions
If you want to earn XP and unlock those sweet Gizmos & Gadgets Pass II rewards, completing missions is your best bet! Open the menus below to see what's in store for set 6.5
